Job Information

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

  • Perform and document calibration of equipment
  • Inspect raw materials upon receipt, approve sampling and coordinate laboratory testing
  • Inspect production rooms/equipment for cleanliness and monitor sanitation practices
  • Maintain/monitor ALI’s Hazardous and Critical Control Points (HACCP) program to assure adherence to government regulations
  • Compose and/or review technical documentation, including but not limited to: Manufacturing Instructions (MI), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and Product Specifications
  • Assist with internal and external audits
  • Assure adherence to company SOPs, USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) and FDA (Food and Drug Administration) regulations
  • Perform environmental, Food Contact Surface, Finished Products and other sampling/swabbing
  • Other duties as directed by management

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and ability to learn new software packages as needed
  • Experience in Microbiology and/or Chemistry preferred
  • Must be highly detail oriented and possess the ability to review technical documentation quickly wit the absolute minimum of errors
  • Experience in USDA or FDA regulated environment preferred

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific discipline preferred OR
  • An appropriate combination of work experience, training and education
